2012 NEW ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

ONE APPLICATION PER PROGRAM CYCLE

Ensembles and presenters may only submit one application per program cycle. Musicians can be part of several ensembles that apply to the program, as long as the ensembles are working in different genres of music. Should a musician believe they will appear on the applications of more than two applying ensembles, it is highly recommended that the musician and/or applying ensemble contact Grant Coordinator Nicole Lungerhausen prior to submitting an application to the Musical Grant Program.

Composers may only apply to the MGP as part of an application that includes an ensemble, and may only appear in one application per program cycle.

PAST MGP AWARDEES

In response to considerations of fairness and maximum opportunity for past MGP awardees, as well as predictability for all applicants, SFFCM has revised the eligibility guidelines as follows:

The MGP accepts applications for projects that will take place in one of the two concert seasons following the application deadline. For this purpose, a concert season is defined as beginning July 1 and ending June 30.

SFFCM will not support two projects taking place in the same season.

Past awardees with projects taking place between July 1 and December 31, 2012, may apply for a new project to take place either Jan. 1-June 30, 2013 or July 1, 2013-June 30, 2014.

Under no circumstances will award money be released until a final report has been received for projects supported by a previous award cycle. Applicants will be deemed ineligible to apply for an MGP award if the applicant has already completed a previous award project but has not fulfilled his or her reporting obligations. MGP 2008 and 2009 report need to have been received to apply in 2012.

Please contact our Executive Director, Mr. Dominique Pelletey, if you will be submitting a final report for a past award prior to or at the same time as your new application: pelletey@sffcm.org
