PURPOSE


The purpose of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music (SFFCM) Affiliate Program is to support, nurture and encourage advocacy for emerging and established professional chamber music ensembles, individuals and organizations who share SFFCM's commitment to the advancement of chamber music as an art form. Through fiscal sponsorship, career guidance workshops, performance opportunities and referrals, consultation and resources, the SFFCM Affiliate Program supports the chamber music-related activities of its Affiliates, thus promoting artistic excellence, education, commissioning of new works, and the building of new audiences in the field of chamber music. 



SFFCM Affiliate Program offers its Affiliates the following benefits and services:



Fiscal Sponsorship Services

1. Access to charitable grants and tax-deductible contributions through fiscal sponsorship, including monetary or in-kind donations;
2. Resources for identifying available grants for Affiliate projects;
3. Consultation and resources for preparing grant applications, writing appeal letters and preparing reports to funders;
4. Formal acknowledgment to funding sources, including tax deduction letters to donors for cash or in-kind contributions;
5. Use of SFFCM's online donation service.


Consultation and Referral Services

1. Media and website resources;
2. Referrals to presenting organizations for performance opportunities;
3. Assistance in collaborations with other arts organizations;
4. Free website space at www.sffcm.org with links to the Affiliate's own  website;
5. Consulting for development of current and future chamber music projects;
6. Opportunities to perform for SFFCM's ongoing programs:

                  - Chamber Music Day
                  - La Belle Vie at the Legion of Honor
                  - Academy of Sciences concert series
                  - SFFCM's donor, fundraising or cultivation events
